There are Fairies in our garden! They’ve just moved in this week. A tiny washing line with tiny pegs has appeared in a tree and a little broom is now propped outside the bird house.

My girls are so excited. Cary’s has written to them and received a reply. Their imaginations are fired up and every day they venture to the bottom of the garden to check for any new developments.

I’m so glad that, in this fast paced world in which they are growing up, my girls are still enjoying these innocent moments of childhood. Too soon they will become teenagers beset with all the worries and stresses that that phase will bring. I want them to savor these days. To cocoon them in the beauty of unhurried, sun dappled afternoons spent looking for fairies and believing in something outside the norm.
